Ali Bakir SENIOR RESEARCHER AT IBN KHALDON CENTER

Ali Bakir is a nonresident senior fellow with the Scowcroft Middle East Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Middle East programs. He is also an assistant professor at Qatar University’s Ibn Khaldon Center for Humanities and Social Sciences. Bakir is a prolific author and a distinguished TV commentator. He writes extensively on the Middle East’s strategic, geopolitical, security, and inter-regional trends and dynamics, focusing on Turkey’s foreign and defence policies, Turkey-Arab/Gulf ties, and Gulf security.
