Aly R. Abuzaakouk FORMER MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, NATIONAL SALVATION GOVERNMENT OF LIBYA

Aly Ramadan Abuzaakouk served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Salvation after the 2011 Libyan Revolution. Prior to the revolution, he was a leading pro-democracy Libyan activist based in Washington, DC. Aly Ramadan Abuzaakouk served as President of the Citizenship Forum for Human Development and Democracy (CFHDD), Executive Director of the Libya Human and Political Development Forum, Editor of Al Muntada Allibi (The Libyan Forum), and Managing Editor of Libyforum.org. He was also the Managing Editor of Democracy Watch and Director of External Affairs for the Network of Democratic Journalists in the Arab World (DJAW), also serving on its Board of Directors. Aly Ramadan Abuzaakouk has been a Lecturer in Communications at the University of Benghazi in Libya and a frequent commentator on radio and television programmes around the world.
