Marina Zhang Associate Professor, Australia-China Relations Institute, University of Technology Sydney

Marina Zhang is an Associate Professor at the Australia–China Relations Institute, University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Her research focuses on how China’s scientific and technological advances are reshaping global industrial and technological landscapes. She holds a PhD in Innovation Studies, specialising in complex and networked systems, an MBA from the Australian National University, and a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Peking University. Dr Zhang is the author of three books, including Demystifying China’s Innovation Machine: Chaotic Order (Oxford University Press, 2022), co-authored with Mark Dodgson and David Gann.
