Dr. Ayşe Sözen Usluer is a graduate of Marmara University (1997), majoring in Business Administration. She earned an MSc in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2003 and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Bilkent University in 2016. Dr. Sözen Usluer worked as a foreign policy advisor (2003-2010) and held positions as Counsellor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2010-2011) and at the Ministry of EU Affairs (2011-2014). In November 2014, she was appointed as the Head of the International Relations Department of the Presidency of the Turkish Republic. She has been the Ambassador of Turkey to the Sultanate of Oman since August 1st, 2018. Dr. Sözen Usluer is married with two daughters.
