Djoomart Otorbaev Former Prime Minister, Kyrgyz Republic

Djoomart Otorbaev is a former Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, serving from April 2014 to May 2015. Between 2011 and 2014, he held the positions of Deputy Prime Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Mr Otorbaev graduated with honours from Leningrad University in 1978 and earned his PhD from the Lebedev Physical Institute in Moscow in 1981, later receiving his Research Professorship in 1989.

From 2002 to 2005, he served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. Following this, he worked as a Senior Adviser at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London from 2006 to 2011.

Mr Otorbaev is an honorary member and invited speaker at numerous international boards and forums on economic development and investment.
