Dr. Hae Won Jeong is an Associate Professor at the National Defence College in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She holds a Ph.D. in International Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Before joining the National Defence College, she taught International Relations at Abu Dhabi University and the UAE Joint Command and Staff College.
A specialist in area studies, Dr. Jeong has been based in the Gulf region for over a decade. Her research focuses on Middle East diplomacy, with a particular interest in diplomatic communication and the intersection of regional and international politics
