Hamdullah Baycar is an assistant professor in the Department of International Relations at Karadeniz Technical University. He holds an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University and a PhD in Politics from the University of Exeter. His research and publications focus on Gulf politics, identity politics, and international relations in the Gulf region, with particular attention to issues of legitimacy, culture, and regional order. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he was named to the Middle East Policy Council’s 40 Under 40 list in 2023.
