Jessica Graham was born in Somerset and educated at York University (BA English Literature) and at Keele University (MA Victorian Studies). Her first job after graduating was at an antiquarian bookshop in Bloomsbury at a time when booksellers still sent paper catalogues to collectors around the world, held bookfairs at the nearby Russell Square Hotel and when Charing Cross Road was lined with secondhand bookshops.
In the late 1980’s she took over a small bookshop in beautiful Primrose Hill, North London and switched to selling new books. After 30 years and many changes in the booktrade, Primrose Hill Books continues as a family-run, local independent with a loyal following amongst book-lovers near and far.
