Jonathan Githens-Mazer Professor; Political Analyst; Former Adviser, NATO and the UN

Jonathan Githens Mazer is a scholar and analyst specializing in European security, terrorism, and political violence. Formerly at the University of Exeter, he has taught and published internationally on security policy, strategic communications, and international affairs, with fieldwork experience across North Africa, the Middle East, and West Africa.

He has advised government departments and international partners on strategy, program design, and evaluation, and provides regular commentary on security and geopolitics. His current work focuses on European defense transformation, alliance cohesion, and the information environment.
