Jovana Marovic FORMER DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF EUROPEAN AFFAIRS, MONTENEGRO

Jovana Marović is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs in the Government of Montenegro. She is also a Vice President of the United Reform Action (URA), a pro-European green political party in Montenegro.

In 2004, Ms Marović worked as a Counsellor for the EU in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ multilateral department, an advisor for International Relations and European Integration within the Cabinet of the Budva Municipality’s Mayor, a Research Coordinator at the Institute Alternative, a Special Advisor to the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, and the Executive Director of the Politikon Network. Ms Marović was also a Member of the Working Group for Chapter 23 – Judiciary and Fundamental Rights within the Montenegrin Accession Negotiations for EU membership, and a member of the Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group, BiEPAG.
