Kazım Çavuşoğlu Deputy General Manager for East Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye

Kazım Çavuşoğlu studied International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University, and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye in 1995.

Throughout his diplomatic career, Mr. Çavuşoğlu has held various positions both at headquarters and abroad. At the Ministry, he served in the Departments for Relations with the Russian Federation and Environmental Issues as Third and Second Secretary, and later headed the Balkans Department, Caucasus Department, and Multilateral Transport Department.

His overseas assignments include postings to the Embassies of Türkiye in Zagreb (Croatia), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and Paris (France) as Second Secretary and Counsellor. He also served as Consul General of Türkiye in Batumi (Georgia) and in St. Petersburg (Russian Federation).

Since August 2024, Mr. Çavuşoğlu has been serving as Deputy Director General for East Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
