Mukesh Kapila PROFESSOR, GLOBAL HEALTH AND HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS, UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER

Mukesh Kapila is a Professor of Global Health and Humanitarian Affairs at the University of Manchester and the Chair of Nonviolent Peaceforce. He has served in roles at the UK Department for International Development, the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and as the Chair of Minority Rights Group International. Among the awards received by Mukesh Kapila are the title of Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) from Queen Elizabeth II and the I Witness! Award for human rights. His memoir Against a Tide of Evilwas nominated for the 2013 Best Non-Fiction Book award.
