Murat Yeşiltaş PROFESSOR OF INTERNATIONAL POLITICS, ASBU

Murat Yeşiltaş is a Professor in the international relations department at the Social Sciences University of Ankara. He also holds the position of director of foreign and security studies at SETA Foundation, Ankara, Türkiye. Dr Yesiltas’s current researches are on international security, terrorism, military studies, ethnic and religious radicalisation, and non-state conflicts. He is currently working on the following research projects The Politics of Kurdish Geopolitical Space in the Middle East; The Logic of Survival of Non-state Armed Groups. He recent authored and co-authored books such as, Türkiye Dünyanın Neresinde? Hayali Coğrafyalar, Çarpışan Anlatılar, Jeopolitik Zihniyet ve Türkiye’de Ordu, Non-State Military Actors in the Middle East: Geopolitics, Ideology and Strategy, Küresel Dönüşüm Sürecinde Türkiye’nin Büyük Stratejisi, Ortadoğu’da Güvenlik Savunma ve Silahlanma, Savunma Politikaları.
