Nadia Abu-Zahra ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR AND THE JOINT CHAIR IN WOMEN’S STUDIES, UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA AND CARLETON UNIVERSITY

Professor Nadia Abu-Zahra is an Associate Professor and the Joint Chair in Women’s Studies at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. She co-facilitates Voices for Activists in Exile, and Community Mobilization in Crisis, incorporating and building on anti-oppressive and radical collaborative learning to co-create and use award-winning, multilingual open educational resources with community mobilizers worldwide. Abu-Zahra was a Research Fellow and SSHRC Doctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford and an SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia. She speaks five languages and is the co-author of Unfree in Palestine and co-editor of Advocating for Palestine in Canada.
