Nur Sağman AMBASSADOR, DG FOR WEST&CENTRAL AFRICA, MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKIYE

Ambassador Nur Sağman obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University in 1988.
After working at the Turkish Radio-Television (TRT) as an assistant producer for the children’s program Sesame Street between 1988-1990, she joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey as a career diplomat. She worked in France, Romania, Estonia, Morocco and Ukraine. Then she was appointed as Ambassador in Guinea and afterwards served as chargé d’affaires in Gabon for a short period.
She was appointed as the Director General for Sub-Saharian Africa in 2020. She had the opportunity to develop her passion for Africa which started during her first post as Ambassador in Conakry.
She will continue her career soon in Senegal, where she has recently been designated as Ambassador.
