Olga Trofimtseva Former Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration

Dr. Olga Trofimtseva is a Ukrainian politician, business leader, and expert in agrifood systems, agricultural policy, AgTech, and sustainable agriculture. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Policy from Humboldt University of Berlin and has over 13 years of professional experience in Germany’s agrifood sector, spanning academic research and private industry.

She served for five years at the German Dairy Association, where she was responsible for standardization and harmonization issues. After returning to Ukraine in 2016, Dr. Trofimtseva led a project of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture supporting Ukraine’s agrarian trade integration under the EU–Ukraine DCFTA.

Appointed Deputy Minister for European Integration at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in 2016, she later served as Acting Minister from February to September 2019. She subsequently became CEO of Epicenter Agro, one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural holdings, and later worked as an independent consultant focusing on food security, export promotion, and agricultural trade policy.

In 2022–2023, Dr. Trofimtseva served as Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, overseeing food security, economic diplomacy, and export promotion. Since January 2024, she has led the Agrifood Team at the Ukraine Facility Platform, while also contributing as an expert to EU initiatives and institutions.
