Asst. Prof. Dr. Ömer Behram Özdemir has held positions in both academia and think tanks. He was a research assistant at Sakarya University, serving in the Institute of Social Sciences (2011-2014), the Middle East Institute (2014-2017), and the Faculty of Political Sciences (2017-2020). From 2021 to 2024, he was a Levant Studies Specialist at ORSAM. In 2025, he joined the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Ibn Haldun University as an Assistant Professor. His areas of study include international security, foreign policy analysis, and non-state actors, with a particular focus on the Middle East.
