Özgün Erler Bayır is a professor and chair of the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Istanbul University. Her areas of expertise include European studies, diplomacy, digital diplomacy, foreign policy analysis, emerging forms of diplomacy, space studies in the social sciences, disinformation, science diplomacy, and Eastern European politics.
Her doctoral dissertation, titled “Dilemma between Atlanticism and Europeanization in Poland’s Foreign Policy,” focused on Poland’s post-Cold War foreign policy orientation.
