Prof. Dr. H. Kürşad Aslan is Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul Medipol University. He holds a BA from Middle East Technical University, an MA from Marmara University, and a PhD from Kent State University in the United States.
His research interests include international political economy, global governance, international migration, Central Asian and Caucasian politics, and the internationalization of higher education. He has taken part in international research projects, including EU-funded initiatives, and has conducted fieldwork in Central Asia. His recent work focuses on international student mobility, skilled migration, global inequalities, and Türkiye’s evolving role as an international higher education hub.
