Dr. Rahman Nurdun serves as Vice President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), where he leads development programs in Africa and the Middle East and manages strategic partnerships to support sustainable development.
With over 25 years of experience in international cooperation and multilateral organizations, he has contributed to global efforts in capacity building, project implementation, and institutional development. He previously held leadership roles at TİKA, including Head of the East and South Asia, Pacific, and Latin America Department, and led the Programme Coordination Office in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Dr. Nurdun holds a PhD from Hacettepe University (Türkiye) and a Master’s degree in Area Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London (UK). He has extensive field experience in Asia, the Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East.
He has also worked with the OECD on governance and investment initiatives in the MENA region and contributed to the Partnership for Democratic Governance.
In addition to his role at TİKA, Dr. Nurdun lectures part-time at Middle East Technical University and Hacettepe University in political science, area studies, and public diplomacy.
