Dr. Rizwaan Sabir is an Associate Professor of Criminology and International Relations in the School of Law and Justice Studies at Liverpool John Moores University (UK). His research examines UK counterterrorism and counterinsurgency practices, focusing on how these approaches draw upon and reinforce structural Islamophobia while shaping the policing of racialised Muslim communities.
