Talha Köse COORDINATOR, SETA BRUSSELS OFFICE & ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF POLITICAL SCIENCE AT IBN HALDUN UNIVERSITY

Talha Köse is the Coordinator of the SETA Brussels Office and Associate Professor in the Political Science Department at Ibn Haldun University. Köse has a BA from Boğaziçi University; an MA from Sabancı University and a Ph.D. from the School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University. Köse’s research focuses on ethnic and religious conflicts and political violence in the Middle East; conflict resolution, and non-coercive approaches in Turkish foreign policy. Köse’s comments and op-eds appear frequently in Turkish and international media and he has a column at Daily Sabah. Dr. Köse’s academic publications have appeared in notable Turkish and international academic outlets including Foreign Policy Analysis, Party Politics, Negotiation and Conflict Management Research, International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Identities: Global Studies in Culture and Power, Middle Eastern Studies, Turkish Studies, Insight Turkey, Perceptions, Uluslararası İlişkiler and Ru’ye Türkiyye. Köse has published and edited five books including his recent volume “Countering Violent Extremism in Libya: A Peacebuilding Approach” (2020 SETA Publications).
