Tanya Goudsouzian is a journalist, author and editor specializing in Afghanistan and Iraq affairs. She is currently head of interviews for TRT World in Istanbul. Previously she was Editor of Opinions for Al Jazeera English Online. She has reported for international media outlets including Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty, Al Jazeera English, El Mundo, and TIME Magazine, among others. Recognized for interviews with leading political figures including the presidents of Iraq and Afghanistan, military leaders and dissidents, her Op-eds are published in The Washington Post, Le Monde Diplomatique, Newsweek and The National Interest. She is also a regular political commentator on Middle East and Afghanistan affairs.
