Tatiana Rey-Bellet is Director, TIR & Transit at the International Road Transport Union (IRU), where she leads the organization’s global strategy on transit facilitation and the TIR system, which supports secure, efficient cross-border trade across more than 60 countries. Since joining IRU in 2012, she has guided countries through TIR implementation, turning complex customs frameworks into operational reality for governments and businesses, with a particular focus on risk management and border-crossing efficiency.
Before joining IRU, she spent over a decade in international development, leading health, sanitation, and environment programs in Pakistan. This experience shapes her practical, on-the-ground approach to trade facilitation today.
