Walid Saffour PRESIDENT OF THE SYRIAN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE AND FORMER UK REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SYRIAN NATIONAL COALITION

Walid Saffour is the founder and president of the Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC), the first human rights organisation aiming to expose the violations of the Syrian regime. In 2012-2014 he served as the first representative of the Syrian National Coalition to the U.K. Walid Saffour is the founder and chairman of Human Care Syria, a charity which works to alleviate the suffering of Syrians inside Syria and in neighbouring countries. He has studied at Damascus University and Westminster University, and has an MA in Linguistics.
