Yusuf Özhan DEPUTY DIRECTOR GENERAL, ANADOLU AGENCY

A graduate of the Management Information Systems Department at Istanbul’s Boğaziçi University, Yusuf Özhan earned a Master’s Degree in Communication, Culture and Technology at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. In 2010-2012, he did graduate-level research on the role of new media tools in political communications in the US. He worked as a Research Assistant on Turkish-American relations, US foreign policy, and the Syrian civil war; his op-eds and analyses were featured in various publications. His career as a journalist began at the Turkish Daily Star, where he worked as Foreign Policy Editor. He assumed the role of Digital News Manager at TRT World from 2014-2016, and after that, he was Editor-in-Chief of TurkMedya Digital Group through 2018. Later that year, Özhan returned to TRT and worked as Digital Channel Coordinator at TRT’s International News Broadcasts Department. Özhan became Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief of Anadolu Agency in April 2021.
